Leicester City v Liverpool: Key Battles

Leicester City host Liverpool at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

Last season, Liverpool came out on top on both fixtures between the two sides, winning 2-1 at Anfield and 3-2 away from home.

The two games were filled with good individual battles that were consistent all over the pitch. At Anfield, Harry Maguire was treated as the pantomime villain, with him ending up being booed every time he had the ball. At the King Power, it was Philippe Coutinho who stole the show with a wonderful free-kick.

Leicester tend to line up in a 4-2-3-1 and the two holding midfield players will be absolutely crucial in this match particularly against the Reds’ attacking options.

Liverpool, however, are set to continue to line up in a 4-3-3 formation, with one holding midfielder.

This slideshow will take you through all of the key individual battles to look out for during the game on Saturday afternoon.
