Crystal Palace have made a £25m bid for Rhian Brewster

Crystal Palace have made an official bid for Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster.

As reported by Rob Dorsett of Sky Sports, Palace’s bid is worth an ititial £19m with £6m in potential add-ons. Furthermore, the deal would also include a buy-back option for Liverpool, who could pay £37m to bring the England U21 international to Anfield.

Given that Liverpool have added to their forward options by bringing in Diogo Jota, The Reds could be tempted to cash in on the striker, whilst the player could be keen to get a move in order to get regular playing time.

Crystal Palace have started the season well with wins over Southampton and Manchester United but Roy Hodgson is seemingly still keen to add another forward into his squad.

Given that his chances of getting game time at Liverpool seem like they’ll be limited, it makes sense for Brewster to want to make a move.

Liverpool’s insistence on getting the buy-back clause in the deal is key as if the striker develops to a point where he’s good enough to play for The Reds, then Liverpool will be able to get him back for a reasonable fee.
