Jordan Henderson’s season may be over due to knee injury

Liverpool could be without their captain Jordan Henderson for the final four games of the season after he limped out of the Reds’ 3-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion with a knee injury.

The Liverpool skipper seemed to twist his knee after an innocuous clash and as such, he will have a scan but the initial prognosis isn’t great.

Speaking after the game, manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed that his captain was injured and whilst he couldn’t confirm the severity of the issue at this time, he admitted that “it will not be nothing”.

Given that The Reds have four games left to play in less than three weeks, there is now a very distinct possibility that Henderson misses the rest of the season, including the home game against Chelsea where the Reds will he handed the Premier League title for the first time in the club’s long and illustrious history.
