Liverpool make enquiry for Fenerbahce’s Berke Ozer

Liverpool have reportedly made an enquiry for Fenerbahce goalkeeper Berke Ozer, according to Goal.

The report suggests that the Reds, along with Premier League rivals Manchester City and Swiss side Basel, have all contacted the Turkish giants over the 19-year-old’s availability.

The Reds’ only summer signing so far has been young centre-back Sepp van den Berg, who made the move to Merseyside from Dutch side PEC Zwolle.

Liverpool are also set to secure the services of Fulham youngster Harvey Elliott, with Jurgen Klopp seemingly looking at young fresh talent to add to his ranks on Merseyside.

Ozer could well turn out to be the latest youngster to move to the club, with all three interested parties keen on signing the goalkeeper before loaning him back out in search of regular first-team football.

The 19-year-old is regarded as one of the hottest prospects in Turkey and has been called up to the senior Turkish national team on two occasions without making an appearance.

The Reds will now wait to hear back from Fenerbahce regarding the possibility of signing the teenager and may have to battle Pep Guardiola’s side for Ozer’s services.
