Liverpool showing strong interest in Inter Milan’s Sebastiano Esposito

Liverpool have reportedly joined a host of European giants, including rivals Manchester United, in the race to sign Inter Milan forward Sebastiano Esposito.

According to FC Inter News, cited by HITC, the Reds are showing ‘the strongest interest’ in the forward who has scored 41 times in 59 appearances for Inter Milan’s youth sides.

The 16-year-old has featured once for Inter Milan’s senior side and is being eyed by Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain after an impressive 12-month spell.

Esposito is regarded as a future star and has also scored 14 goals in 20 appearances for Italy’s Under 17 side.

The report doesn’t suggest a proposed fee for the forward, however, it does look as if the Reds are extremely keen on the player.

Liverpool announced the signing of highly-rated defender Sepp van den Berg on Thursday, beating the likes of Ajax, PSV Eindhoven and Bayern Munich for the 17-year-old, and Esposito could well be another bright prospect making the move to Merseyside this summer.
