Liverpool submit offer for Jamal Lewis

Liverpool have submitted an official offer for Norwich City centre-back Jamal Lewis.

As reported by James Pearce of The Athletic, The Reds have offered £10m to the Canaries for the left-back, although it remains to be seen if that will be enough to get the relegated side to let him leave.

Liverpool have also proposed a very large sell-on clause for the 22-year-old in hope that it will be enough for Norwich to let the Northern Ireland international move to Anfield

Norwich originally set an asking price of £20m for the left-back, but Liverpool will hope that the fact that the player himself is keen to make a move might see The Canaries accept a lower offer.

Liverpool are looking to bring in a player to backup Andy Robertson next season, this allowing James Milner to play in midfield more often than he was able to last season when he had to cover at left-back.
