Newcastle keen on Liverpool target Philipp Max

Liverpool have also been linked with a move for the German in recent weeks, with Jurgen Klopp interested in bringing in a left-back to cover the impressive Andy Robertson before the window closes.

Max has been a regular for his current side in recent years, and appears to have the attacking qualities wanted by Klopp in a full-back addition.

The left-back has provided 20 Bundesliga assists in the two previous campaigns, with current Reds full-backs Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold known for their impressive goal involvements.

It remains to be seen as to whether or not either side will firm up their interest before the window shuts on August 8th, however, both clubs are definitely keeping tabs on the exciting left-back.
