Nicolas Pepe reportedly wants to join Liverpool

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Nicolas Pepe for a number of months and whilst there is interest in the 24-year-old from other clubs, the Ivorian star seemingly wants to make a move to Anfield.

According to reports, Serie A giants Napoli have made a player-plus-cash deal to Lille for the forward, but he’s stalling on any potential move as his desire is to move to Liverpool. Napoli’s reported offer is €50m in cash plus attacking-midfielder Adam Ounas.

Pepe is currently on holiday having just competed at the African Cup of Nations, where his side were knocked out at the quarter-final stage on penalties by eventual-winners Algeria.

Similar to his international teammate Wilfried Zaha, now that he’s no longer on duty with the Ivorian national team, Pepe seems keen to have his future resolved.

Numerous clubs, such as Arsenal, Everton and Manchester United have also been linked with a move for Pepe but it seems as though he has his heart set on a move to Liverpool.
