Simon Mignolet keen on Liverpool summer exit

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet is hoping to leave the club this summer, according to the Evening Standard.

The Belgian has been heavily linked with a move away from the club and is open to ending his six-year stint on Merseyside in search of regular game time.

Mignolet has attracted interest from Crystal Palace, who are thought to be preparing an £8 million bid for the 31-year-old.

The Reds will reportedly more than likely turn down a proposed offer for the second choice keeper, with Jurgen Klopp viewing Mignolet as a key member of the dressing room.

Mignolet spent the majority of the previous campaign on the bench, making just two appearances in domestic cup competitions.

It remains unclear as to whether or not the Reds would be willing to sell the player if a suitable offer comes in, however, following the latest report, Liverpool may well decide to reluctantly cash in on the keeper to grant him his wish of regular game time.
