Zaf leaves Liverpool

According to the Echo, Dr Zaf Iqbal has left Liverpool Football Club, with no public reason given, leaving fans and the media slightly baffled by his exit. Zaf had been with the club four-and-a-half years, and that reportedly came to an end yesterday (Wednesday).

Zaf was Liverpool’s go-to man for player medicals, and he became a popular figure amongst the supporter base.

He joined Liverpool in 2010 after leaving Tottenham Hotspur, and declared himself a Liverpool fan since the ’80s.

Liverpool’s Academy doctor, Andy Massey will take on additional duties on a temporary basis until a replacement can be found.

Any thoughts on his exit? Let us know below.
