Liverpool celebrates historic sixth Champions League triumph

Liverpool secured a historic sixth European title after beating Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in Madrid.

Goals from Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi secured the win for the Reds, with Liverpool really never not looking like losing in the Spanish capital.

It took just 25 seconds for the game to swing in Liverpool’s favour, with Moussa Sissoko giving away a penalty for a handball.

Mohamed Salah made no mistake, and put the Reds in the lead from the Spot.

The game wasn’t the greatest game in Champions League history, but Liverpool managed to hold on, and Divock Origi wrapped up the famous sixth title with a great finish past Hugo Lloris.

The Reds would then be finally able to celebrate their sixth European Cup, their first since Steven Gerrard led the Reds to victory back in Istanbul over 14 years ago.

Here are some of the best images from a historic night for everyone involved with Liverpool Football Club.
