Liverpool v Manchester United: Last five wins

As Liverpool prepare to tackle Manchester United on Thursday evening for the first time ever in a European competition, in the Europa League last 16 first leg, we look back at Liverpool’s last five victories against their fiercest rivals.

There have been some absolute crackers between arguably England’s biggest clubs. Liverpool’s recent record against the Red Devils hasn’t been too good for the Reds. But in their last five wins, four out of the five have come at Anfield; so that may be a good indication for the Reds.

Jurgen Klopp’s men will be looking to avenge their loss to United in January at Anfield. Louis van Gaal will come to Anfield looking to frustrate the home side and perhaps knick an away goal to give the Red Devils the advantage in the all conclusive second leg.
