Liverpool have been handed a potential boost ahead of their clash with Manchester United this weekend, with Marcus Rashford being forced off in the Red Devils FA Cup clash with Wolves, as per The Mirror.

Despite only being on the pitch for 15 minutes, Rashford was forced to come off in the tie, just days ahead of the match with Liverpool.

This follows Rashford scoring twice in the Premier League against Norwich.

Rashford went down under a heavy challenge, before heading straight down the tunnel after being replaced by Jesse Lingard.

This is a huge boost for Liverpool, especially due to Rashford’s past in this fixture.

The United forward has three goals in six appearances against Liverpool, as per Transfermarkt, so many Reds fans will be happy if the striker isn’t available for this weekend’s clash.

However, the severity of the injury is not yet known, with Rashford only just coming off for United, so Reds fans will have to wait to learn whether or not the United forward will play.
