Sancho humiliated at Dortmund amid Liverpool and Barcelona interest

Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho has been left feeling “frustrated and scapegoated” in recent weeks, amid interest from Barcelona and Liverpool.

Reliable journalist David Ornstein, of The Athletic, claims that Sancho is confused and frustrated by his current situation at Dortmund – with the German club having recently fined him for returning late from international duty.

He was also taken off in the first half of their defeat to Bayern Munich, despite not having an injury issue. The report also claims that Dortmund have repeatedly asked him about potentially leaving in January, whilst Sancho has consistently said that he would stay.

This situation is clearly beginning to worsen for Sancho and Dortmund, as explained in the report, and this could play right into Liverpool’s hands. If Sancho is upset with Dortmund and the club are considering letting him go, Liverpool could swoop in and look to secure a bargain deal for the England international.

Given Liverpool’s current title charge and their recent European exploits, they are one of the most attractive clubs in world football and should not be scared of Real Madrid and Barcelona in a transfer battle. Liverpool signing Sancho would also be a huge statement of intent, showing that they are willing to continue to strengthen their squad and look to maintain their place amongst Europe’s elite.
