The best images from Liverpool’s Champions League trophy parade

Liverpool supporters took to the streets to give their team a magnificent homecoming celebration on Sunday as they lined the streets to bask in the glory of their sixth European title.

The Reds clinched the Champions League trophy with a 2-0 win over fellow Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid on Saturday evening.

Mohamed Salah opened the scoring from the penalty spot within the first two minutes and Divock Origi came off the bench to secure the trophy for Liverpool late in the game.

It had been a long time coming for the fans, who waited for 14 years to see their club return from foreign shores with a European title to show off.

But they more than made the most of the trophy parade, where Liverpool supporters and players came together to celebrate the achievement in Madrid.

Here are some of the best images from the scenes in Liverpool on Sunday!
