Liverpool vs Manchester United: Combined XI

Monday night.

Liverpool v Manchester United.

Jürgen Klopp v José Mourinho.

Night time kick off under the lights at Anfield.

The game we’ve all been waiting for and it’s fair to say that every fan in England and beyond will be watching with anticipation.

The two teams enter this game with very different veins of form. Liverpool start the tie off the back of four consecutive wins in the league scoring 13 goals, whereas Man United have only won once in their last four and have failed to win on the road since August.

The old cliché does go, however, that in these types of clashes, form goes out the window. However you’d fancy Liverpool to be favourites for the game based on recent results.

Both teams have top quality players who could easily get into each other’s teams.

As such here is my combined XI of both teams based on form, fitness and overall quality:
