Liverpool Player Ratings: Sevilla (N)

Liverpool fell to a second successive defeat on their tour of America, losing 2-1 to Sevilla at the iconic Fenway Park.

Liverpool, sporting their new third kit, started brightly but soon faded as Sevilla took control of the game, creating some excellent chances.

The Spaniards deservedly took the lead when a deflected cross fell to Nolito, who drilled the ball into the top corner.

Liverpool got themselves level before half-time thanks to Divock Origi.

Nat Phillips rose well to get on the end of a Trent Alexander-Arnold corner and his header was deflected to the Belgian who hammered home from close range.

Perhaps unsurprisingly in the sweltering Boston heat and with Sevilla throwing in some rather tasty challenges, Jurgen Klopp changed all eleven players at half-time.

Joris Gnagnon was then sent off for Sevilla after an absolutely shocking tackle on Yasser Larouci but even with ten men, the Spanish side went 2-1 up late on when Pozo showed some great feet to round the onrushing Simon Mignolet and slot home the winner.
